Kunjan

How are you? I haven't visited you for a long time.I was busy in the banks to get some money. Are you affected by the currency problem?

Kunjukochu

Not at all. I was already paisaless. One who is down, fears no fall.

Ammini

What is your opinion about the rupee crisis?

Kunjukochu

By his blunder,he has sealed his fate.As we say in Malayalam,"മായ്ക്കാൻ തേച്ചത് പാണ്ടായി ",ie that which was intended to erase something, became a stain.My question is,was it necessary for Modi


to grab the sleeping snake from the fence and put it in his underwear? Serves him right.

Maybe he did it for a good purpose.

Whatever it is,he has unleashed a hornet's nest on the man on the Q.He will be a nota in the next elections

Anyway, let's hope things will be back to normal soon.I have
brought some newspapers for you.( hands over some newspapers)

Why,what's wrong with Manorama? You used tobe an ardent reader of Manorama.

Kunjukochu

Not any more,because Manorama is rubbish.They published
a vulgar painting that hurt the feelings of Christians.

Ammini

Why do you worry? You are not a Christian.

Kunjukochu

I do not see things that way. Daughter,the people of this country
are going through hell due to the blunders of those in power.Why add fuel to the fire ?

Kunjan

But artistic freedom should be upheld at all costs.

Rubbish.India is not Denmark.Do you remember what happened to MF Hussein? He did a nude painting of Saraswathi.The Shiva Sainiks smashed his studio and chased him to Qutar.At that time,I condemned their vandalism,but now I feel the Shiv Sainiks vindicated.You know what happened to the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists in Paris? They were slaughtered because they insulted Islam. Was it necessary?

Phoo...does any arist make a nude painting of his own wife and daughter and display it? No.Why then embark on misadventures? Anyway, leave the Manorama here.I have a shortage of toilet papers.Thanks.

VAGAMON

Vagamon doesn't need any introduction. It's known as a place of unique biodiversity, a favourite location for film shooting, and a popular destination for day visitors. We set out for a day trip to Vagamon on Sunday, 8 May,from Kottayam. The roads in Kottayam District are generally of international standards,particularly the road from Pala to Erattupetta. On our way, we stopped at Bharanganam to attend Holy Mass, and for breakfast in the Canteen. Initially, I was doubtful about the service there, because often, in such places where large number of people gather, the services may not be satisfactory. But I was proved wrong  by the good service and the quality of the food served there.
