ആശങ്കയും ഉണ്ട്. പരസ്പരം മത്സരിച്ച മുന്നണികളിലെ ഉന്നതരായ നേതാക്കൾ കണ്ടുമുട്ടുന്നു കൈ കൊടുക്കുന്നു ഒന്നിച്ച് ഫോട്ടോക്ക് pose ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇത് വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ നൽകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ താഴേ തട്ടിൽ അക്രമങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നു. രണ്ടു പേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. അനേകർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. വീടുകൾ തകർക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഇത് ആശങ്ക ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.
ഒരു ജനാധിപത്യ വ്യവസ്ഥിതിയിൽ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏതെങ്കിലും തരത്തിലുള്ള ഭയം ഇല്ലാതെ ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിന് അരാജകത്വം എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ സിറിയയിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായ അരാജകത്വം ആണ്. അവിടെ ജനങ്ങൾ ഭയന്ന് കഴിയുന്നു. ആസ്പത്രികളിൽ പോലും സുരക്ഷിതത്വം ഇല്ല.

In Kerala,there are positive signs of a new era under the strong leadership of Shri Pinarayi Vijayan,who has waved an olive branch in the wake of his inauguration as Chief Minister of Kerala tomorrow.If all the people forget old animosities and reconcile,Kerala can achieve new heights.
South Africa's peaceful transition from apartheid rule to a democratic dispensation is an inspiration to all who wish to end conflict.The transition to democratic rule in 1994 was unthinkable five years before.That year witnessed the end of more than three centuries of racial discrimination firmly entrenched by the white minority against the black majority.
South Africa could have plunged into a prolonged civil war,had it not been for the wise leadership of Nelson Mandela, who was in prison,and of de Klerk,who was then the President of the white minority.It dawned on de Klerk that his people could not survive in the face of economic isolation and armed conflict.
In 1990,Nelson Mandela was released from prison unconditionally,the ANC was unbanned,and political prisoners were released.Negotiations for a peaceful transition were held till 1994,and the first democratic elections were held on 27 April 1994,and Nelson Mandela became the first democratically elected president of South Africa.
The ANC had a huge majority,but a government of national unity was formed,and de Klerk was appointed as Vice President,in the spirit of reconcilation.
Mandela and de Klerk were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for peace for their role in bringing peace in South Africa.
Mandela's policy was to include everybody in the democratic process.
We can't imagine Pinarayi offering Deputy Chief Ministership to Oommen Chandy,with the coveted Home portfolio.But Mandela did exactly a surprising offer like ദാറ്റ് that in 1994.The ANC and the Inkatha Freedom Party were bitter rivals.From 1986 to 1994,fighting between ANC and IFP supporters claimed 20000 lives.Just two days before the elections, Mandela successfully persuaded Inkatha leader Buthelezi to join the peace procees,and offered him the Home portfolio.Thus a new era of peace and reconcilation started.
In sharp contrast,in 1994, 800000 People were hacked to death in Rwanda in a bloody tribal conflict.
The peaceful transition in South Africa inspired the warring Protestants and
Catholics in Northern Ireland to settle their differences.
