We arrived at Nedumbassery airport by Emirates flight EK530 at 9 a.m.With Emirates ,everything is perfect.Actually,they pamper the passengers with everything.There are no delays,no complaints,there's only satisfaction.
At the passprt Control,it was just a walk over.I was amazed by how things have changed for the better.No forms to be filled by Indian citizens! What a reliëf! I hate filling of forms for whatever reason.After a long journey,I cannot remember my Passport Number,expiry date,etc etc.A big salute to the Ministry of Whatever Affairs for freeing passengers from the troubles of form-filling.
But all the positive thoughts were dashed by the long wait at the Baggage Carousel.Nobody is to be blamed for this.Homecoming Malayalees bring a lot of baggage,huge TVs included.So be it.
Satheeshan was already there with his Taxi.During our visits,we rely on him for our trips.He is very reliable and punctual.
Now,a major concern in Kerala is the heat wave ravaging the country.Very few people were seen outside due to the scorching heat.There were very few signs of the election campaign.Satheeshan said that activities were reserved for the evening.We passed through many constituancies like perumbavoor,Piravom,Moovattupuzha,
Ettumanoor,Pala,Ettumanoor,Puthuppally
and finally,Kottayam.Throughout the journey,I discussed politics with Satheesan.
At last we are at Skyline Orchid 2 Flats near Kanjikuzhy.It's a quiet residential area. Orchid 2
has reasonable outside space,with small variety of Mango and plavu trees.
So far we haven't encountered real heat,confining ourselves indoors,close to the AC.
