Kerala is a mysterious country, with many mysterious things happening daily. The credibility of Kerala has recently been punctured by two punctures in which two prominent leaders were involved, and thank God, both of them narrowly and miraculously escaped unhurt. First it was P.Jayarajan's Ambulance that veered off the road due to tyre puncture. The irony is ridiculous. An ambulance is supposed to be the safest vehicle, rushing to save the life of the patient in it, but the authorities don't have the patience to check the roadworthiness of the ambulance. Worse yet,the driver was inexperienced. He had not driven beyond the borders of Malappuram District. The incident leaves many questions unanswered. I don't know the traffic rules in Kerala regarding the roadworthiness of tyres. It seems a driver is allowed to drive using worn out tyres until they burst! On 17 December 2015, I became a homeless person.It was the day of our departure for India for our Christmas vacation. I became homeless because I sold my house,27,Buiten Street,Delareyville,where we had lived since 15 February, 2004.I handed over the keys to  the new owner, a noble Afrikaaner lady.By a strange coincidence, I had bought the house from a noble Afrikanner lady. House -shifting is a difficult task for me.It's so difficult that if someone offered me a huge mansion freely,I would politely decline the offer simply because of the back-breaking  task of shifting. Delareyville isn't a posh town.This is a town of the common people. No big buildings, no billionaires, no posh cars, nothing of that sort. Just ordinary people leading simple lives. Ordinary workers,government servants,farmers, teachers etc.There's a sense of equality everywhere. Some people make a mockery of India's democratic system in two ways.First, by contesting elections just for fun.Second, by forming one's own party,like setting up a 'thattukada'. History is witness to the rejection of the both types of mockery.I am not sure whether a thattukada is licensed or whether the food served there is hygienic and healthy. But those shops those shops are allowed to function because it's the 'vayttil pizhappu' of the shop owners and workers.
