The Gutter Channel Asianet ( opinion )
This morning I watched a sentence on Asianet TV screen ,which read:
" Solar thattippu kesil prathiyaya Ommen Chandiyude sahayi aayirunna Joppante...
This is the utter gutter style developed by Asianet News Channel, which has become a total disgrace
to TV journalism.For about two months, this channel has been desperately trying
to tarnish the image of Oommen Chandy, with little impact on discerning viewers.But
their dirty tactics and dirty tricks have huge impact on ignorant viewers.
The above sentence is carefully calculated and written to appear as if Oommen
Chandy has already been charged. The gutter channel has been in the forefront
to humiliate Oommen Chandy.
What is the motive behind Asianet's overenthusiasm to denigrate the name of
Oommen Chandy? They spread lies about him, about his family and relatives. They spread
lies, and do not broadcast the other side of the story.
On 10 July, Oommen Chandy, in a media conference ,gave a lesson to journalists
about unbiased reporting. After listening to his advice, the journalists were tight-
lipped. Maybe they felt guilty about not following journalistic ethics.
The fact of the matter is the CPM-BJP-Asianet alliance .The BJP is a splinter
party in Kerala, with no seats in the assembly. But,since the Solar case erupted,
Mr Surendran, the BJP Secretary, has been given equal status as bigger parties
like the Congress and the CPM, in the debates. There's every reason to suspect
that Narendra Modi's sacks of money have changed hands somewhere, to orchestrate
the malicious campaign against Oommen Chandy.
Why is the BJP is so keen to oust Oommen Chandy? The reason is that he is a Christian.Neither
Oommen Chandy nor the majority of people of Kerala think on communal lines.But
a spade must be called a spade.
Since yesterday, some channels ,including Asianet ,displayed a fake photo of
Saritha talking to Oommen Chandy.Perhaps they thought it would trigger a volcanic
eruption of disapproval among the people . Instead ,the displayers became laughing
stock. The mobs also displayed the photos, simply displaying their ignorance,bad taste
and stupidity.Aa photo oru nananja beedi padakkam pole aayi.
Now Asianet newspersons are going extra miles to encourage mobs who have
poured into TVM to spread anarchy,and to inconvenience and intimidate the
general public. Unda chorinu Narendra Modiyodu kooru kanikkendathalle ?
