On 5th January,I went for Adhar Card registration.I had apprehensions whether I would get through the process.Pravasis don't have full information about the process.This post is intended to share information about Adhar registration.
The registration is done at selected Akshaya
Centres.You don't expect many facilities there,eg a desk where you can fill the form.Also,don't expect a toilet.
At Paika,the Application forms were issued from 9.30 a.m to 10 a.m.There was only one
official working there.
A Pravasi can use photocopies of the relevant
pages of the passport.eg that of address.If you fill the form correctly,delays can be avoided.
The details to be filled are:name,date of birth,father/mother name,cell number,email address,NRO bank acct.number(not compulsory),PAN number (not compulsory).You must know the pin number of your address.
The official verifies your Application. Errors will cause unnecessary delays.For a Pravasi,the photocopies of the relevant pages of the passport should be attached.After verification,the applicants are called for photos and fingerprints.The Application is processed Online,and you can check your details while the official is typing.No ink is used for fingerprints.
When the registration is over,You get a receipt
signed by the official.The most important thing
is to be present when the Application forms are issued.Also take photocopies of the relevant pages of the passport.No fees is charged.
