കേരളത്തിലെ മഴയുടെ  ശക്തി അനുഭവിച്ച് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ട്‌ അനേകം വർഷങ്ങളായി. ചെറിയ മഴകൾ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ കനത്ത ഒരു മഴ ഇന്നാണ് കണ്ടത്. കേരളത്തിൽ എറ്റവും കനത്ത മഴ ഉള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലമാണ് പൈക. അവിടെ അര മണിക്കൂർ സമയം മഴ കണ്ട ശേഷം ഒരു ബസ്സിൽ ഓടി ക്കയറി. Kottaramattam ബസ്‌ സ്റ്റേഷൻൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ കനത്ത മഴ തുടരുകയാണ്. മിക്കവാറും എല്ലാവരുടെയും കയ്യിൽ കുടയുണ്ട്.കുട കൊണ്ടു നടക്കാത്ത ആളാണ്‌ ഞാൻ. കാരണം South ആഫ്രിക്കയിലെ മഴ പെട്ടെന്ന് തീരും. കുട ഇല്ലാതെ manage ചെയ്യാം. അത് മാത്രമല്ല കുട കൈവശം വെച്ചാൽ അത് എവിടെയെങ്കിലും മറന്നു പോകും. ഞാൻ ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ 99 %ആളുകളും കുട ചൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു. അവർ കരുതലും വികസനവും ഉള്ളവർ ആണ്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് യുവതികൾ. മഴയെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കാൻ അവർ കരുതി.കുട നിവർത്തി വികസിപ്പിച്ചു. കുടയില്ലാത്ത ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ യുവാക്കളെ അടുത്ത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ആശ്വാസമായി.എന്തായാലും കുട കൊണ്ടുനടക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നില്ല. മഴ നനയുന്നതിന്റെ രസം  ഒന്നു വേറെയാണ്. മഴ  ഒരു ശുഭ ലക്ഷണം ആയിട്ടാണ് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നത്. പിണറായി വിജയൻറെ നേത്രുത്വത്തിലുള്ള സർക്കാർ വിജയിച്ചു കാണാനാണ് എല്ലാവരും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്. നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങൾ ആ

കേരളത്തിൽ പുതിയ സർക്കാർ അധികാരം ഏറ്റെടുക്കാൻ മണിക്കൂറുകൾ മാത്രം ശേഷികുംപോൾ  ശുഭാപ്തി വിശ്വാസവും ആശങ്കയും ഉണ്ട്. പരസ്പരം മത്സരിച്ച മുന്നണികളിലെ ഉന്നതരായ നേതാക്കൾ കണ്ടുമുട്ടുന്നു കൈ കൊടുക്കുന്നു ഒന്നിച്ച് ഫോട്ടോക്ക് pose ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇത് വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ നൽകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ താഴേ തട്ടിൽ അക്രമങ്ങൾ നടക്കുന്നു. രണ്ടു പേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. അനേകർക്ക്‌ പരിക്കേറ്റു. വീടുകൾ തകർക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഇത് ആശങ്ക ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. ഒരു ജനാധിപത്യ വ്യവസ്ഥിതിയിൽ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ ഏതെങ്കിലും തരത്തിലുള്ള ഭയം ഇല്ലാതെ ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിന് അരാജകത്വം എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ സിറിയയിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായ അരാജകത്വം ആണ്. അവിടെ ജനങ്ങൾ ഭയന്ന് കഴിയുന്നു. ആസ്പത്രികളിൽ പോലും സുരക്ഷിതത്വം ഇല്ല. 2016 ലെ  തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഫലം ആവേശകരമായി  പുറത്തുവന്നു. ഇടത് ക്യാമ്പ്‌ൽ  വലിയ ആഹ്ലാദ പ്രകടനങ്ങൾ   ആണ്. അത് അവർ  അർഹിക്കുന്നതാണ്. പക്ഷേ അതിര് കടന്ന   ആഹ്ലാദ പ്രകടനങ്ങൾക്ക്  വകയില്ല.കാരണം ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇതേ സമയത്ത് നടന്ന ബെന്ഗാൾ, ആസ്സാം, തമിൾ നാട് തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ്‌ ഫലങ്ങളും ചേർത്ത് കൂട്ടി വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇടത്  പക്ഷത്തിന്റെ നില വളരെ ദയനീയമാണെന്ന് കാണാം. 34 കൊല്ലം സി പ്എം ഭരിച്ച ബെന്ഗാളിൽ 2016ൽ  അവർ വിരലിൽ എണ്ണാവുന്ന സീറ്റുകളിൽ ഒതുങ്ങി കോൺഗ്രസ്‌ നേക്കാൾ പുറകിലാണ്. അവിടെ മമതാ തരംഗം മൂന്നിൽ രണ്ട്‌ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിൽ എത്തി.തമിഴ് നാട്ടിൽ സിപിഎം /കപികപിപാർട്ടികൾക്ക്  (CPI) ഒരു സീറ്റ് പോലും ഇല്ല.( SORRY FOR TYPING ERROR ) കോൺഗ്രസ്‌  സർവ്വ നാശത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് നീങ്ങുകയാണ് എന്ന കാര്യം മറച്ചു വെക്കേണ്ട. അസ്സമിലും കേരളത്തിലും ഭരണം നഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ടു. കേരളത്തിൽ ഗ്രൂപ്പിസവും അച്ചടക്ക രാഹിത്യവും പരാജയത്തിന് കാരണമായി. ആ പാർട്ടി ഒരു നാഥനില്ലാ കളരിയായി. ഭരണം സിപിഎം ന് ഓര് ഒരു താലത്തിൽ സമർപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌. കോട്ടയം ജില്ല വീണ്ടും ഒരു UDF കോട്ട ആയി ഇടത് തരന്ഗത്തെ അതിജീവിച്ചതിനെ  ആക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നവർ ഉണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ഇതിൻറ

The results of the Kerala Elections are already out. The people have won,by voting en masse on 16th May,in a peaceful, orderly, exemplary manner, many of them ignoring physical handicaps, old age, hostile terrains, and bad weather. The visuals of very old ,sick and disabled people carried on make -shift stretchers to a  polling booth on a hill in Pathanamthitta District was really heartbreaking. Their only demand is a polling booth downhill, accessible to them. The key issue today isn't whether it's the LDF or the UDF that will win a majority tomorrow. The key issue is whether the next ruling coalition will receiprocate the people's faith in democracy by addressing their problems,eg safe drinking water, quality education, health care, safety, housing etc. Some Kerala polticians try to hoodwink the people using empty rhetoric, with jokes as icing. I don't know Kerala's position in the list of the happiest countries in the world. I think Denmark is the happiest country in the world. In Kerala, there are more reasons to be unhappy rather than to be happy. Take for example, the impending outcome of the elections, which will make the majority of people unhappy. This is because one Front is going to get a majority. The combined vote percentage of the two losing Fronts will be higher than that of the winners. In the event of a hung assembly, all Fronts will be unhappy. Above all, if the NDA gets two or three seats, and if both the UDF and the LDF practice untouchability, and a government cannot be formed, a re-election will be imposed on the people, and everybody will be unhappy.  Everybody wants to be happy,but I don't know how many people feel 100% happy. If anybody believes that things are going to change dramatically for the better in Kerala, he  or she lives in a fool's paradise. This is because nothing is going to change, no matter who assumes power after 19 May. Take for example, if the LDF comes to power with a landslide, there will be wild celebrations and fireworks, and when the euphoria dies down,they will immediately start the blame game  for lack of any change. Firstly, they will blame the previous government for all the ills plaguing Kerala. Second, they will blame the Modi Government for everything. They will most likely start "rule and agitation " as in the 1967 -1969 period. We can expect some Government -sponsored  Hartals against the Modi Government. An outbreak of violence is on the cards under an LDF Government. Even during the campaign period, bombs were made, and one person died while making bombs. Vagamon doesn't need any introduction. It's known as a place of unique biodiversity, a favourite location for film shooting, and a popular destination for day visitors. These are extremely bad days in Kerala due to many reasons. Firstly, the shock waves triggered by the brutal murder of Jisha, a  poor Dalith student. We arrived at Nedumbassery airport by Emirates flight EK530 at 9 a.m.With Emirates ,everything is perfect.Actually,they pamper the passengers with everything.There are no delays,no complaints,there's only satisfaction. We are on an Emirates flight to Dubai on our way to Kochi. This time our stay in Kerala will be prolonged because there's no urgent need to return. Both Leelamma are now retired,and there is a vast expanse of time at our disposal. It's like a test drive of a new car. Actually I haven't had a full experience of Kerala because my vacation visits have been short, not more than three weeks. I have known Kerala more on TV than on real ground. It has been like an airwar,with no boots on the ground. The most worrying thing is the destruction of the environment. It has reached a point of no return.
