The attack on Oommen Chandy-a Pravasi's perspective ( opinion)

The  attack on  Oommen  Chandy- a  Pravasi's  perspective   ( opnion ) The vicious attack  on Honourable  Chief Minister  Sri Oommen Chandy  at  Kannur, allegedly by CPM goondas, has shocked and  saddened  civilised , peace-loving  Malayalees  in India  and abroad. But , unfortunately, there are some people ,who are uncivilised anarchists  who celebrate ,rejoice, and justify  the cowardly and barbaric attack  on the Chief Minister. They are happy that , at least, one of them was able to injure Ommen Chandy, and of course there are others who regret that he escaped death. Such people can be found on the social media, making crude jokes about  Sri  Chandy's injury. It's  a true reflection of the scum that are baying for the blood of Oommen  Chandy. Some gutter channels play second fiddle to these  barbarians ! But  every  decent Malayalee  has reacted with  utter shock, indignation and grief  following the callous  attack on  Sri  Chandy, who has served  Kerala  sel

The attack on Oommen Chandy ( opinion )

The  attack on  Oommen Chandy Today is a sad and dark day for  Kerala.  The Honourable  Chief Minister of  Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy   was  attacked and injured  by  CPM goondas  at Kannur. This is an unprecedented incident  in the history of Kerala, and most  probably in the history of India. For the first time, a Chief Minister has been attacked and injured in stone-throwing  in broad daylight  by a bunch of hooligans. Every   democratically - minded Keralite  should  hang  his/her head in shame following this ugly episode, which is a total disgrace to the state. This is not a matter that affects only Oommen Chandy and his party, but it's a matter of great concern to every peace-loving  Malayalee. If the Chief Minister of the state has no safety in broad daylight, what about the safety of the ordinary citizens? Of late, lawlessness has been on the rise in Kerala, inspired by the  violent and undemocratic  tactics of the CPM. For over 4 months, the  CPM  has been  on

Brutus There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune: Omitted, all the voyage of their life, Is bound in  shallows and  miseries.   ( Julius  Caesar, Act 4, Scene 3 ) Brutus  says this when he is discussing  battle plans with his colleague, Cassius. THE BIRTH OF THATTIPPU NADU ( SATIRE )

THE   BIRTH  OF  THATTIPPU   NADU    (  SATIRE ) 2014  is written  in golden letters in the history  of  Kerala  because some  dramatic events took place in that historic year. First, in the Lok Sabha  elections the UDF  was  routed, not because of the popularity  of the LDF, but  because of the pent up wrath  of the general  public, caused by daily scandals, corruption, fraud saga, in-fighting  and backstabbing  among the coalition partners, the foul-mouthed  utterances  of  some leaders etc etc ,which  was unleashed into the ballot machines  with a  vengeance. The UDF  emerged as '' sampoojyar'', which means to  emerge with some zeroes. Thereafter, the UDF  was  known as the Utterly  Defeated  Front ! After the defeat, the red-nosed  Congress leaders were summoned by Soniaji  to Delhi .Oommen  Chandy  was promptly  fired on the spot, and , as anticipated, the mantle of CM  fell on Mr Ramesh  Chennithala. I don't know the exact meaning of Chennitha
